Instructions for self-hypnosis 

Autosuggestion
This is when you suggest goals to yourself whilst in a self-imposed trance.  It gives you the power to select the habits you wish to overcome or even the weaknesses you want to strengthen.  It stimulates the subconscious to make your chosen corrections without conscious effort.

 

Before you start find a comfortable place, with no distractions, silence your phone, lay down of sit down. Uncross legs and arms take glasses off if you wear them. 

Before closing your eyes read this, 
when you remember this then demand yourself to close your eyes. And say this to yourself. 🔽
 

 

1) If you remember these instructions before going into hypnosis you can close you eyes and say it. 

I awaken immediately in case of any emergency, alert and completely normal in every way
 
• I automatically achieve the proper balance between the conscious and the subconscious, so that all my suggestions are readily accepted
 
• I go into hypnosis more quickly and easily every time I practice it
 
• I stay completely free of hypnosis whilst driving a motor vehicle or operating dangerous machinery
 
• I awaken in exactly 15 minutes (or your set time) 

Think of your own suggestions to be able to set yourself a goal. You can listen to the self hypnosis recording a few times if the suggestions are good for you. 

It helps closing your eyes and visualise your relaxation, or you can imagine if you can’t visualise, it can be anything like on a beach laying down on sunbed  relaxing, see what you can see, hear what you can hear, and feel what you can feel, or touch or smell what you can smell on the beach.  same as forest, garden or just tensing and relaxing your muscles one by one and breathing deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth very slowly and controlled. Focusing on your breath.

Starting hypnosis follow:

 

1. Instructions

2. Demand eyes to become closed

3. Visualisation

4. Bring your own suggestions repeat 3 to 4 times

5. Bringing yourself out of hypnosis.

Start

2) Eye Closure

Give a command to your eyelids to close and relax – focus on your breath Then begin to count down from 5 to 1, either internally or out loud

5 – my eyes feel heavy and tired

4- heavy and closing tight shut

3- pressing down and sealing shut

2- eyelids pressing down so tightly they are sealed shut

And 1 – eyes firmly closed and unless I remove that level of relaxation in my eyes they just wont open… give them a good test… make sure they won’t work… and notice how good it feels… … stop testing and let yourself relax much more…


 

3) visualisation

I feel comfortable, calm and relaxed and as I’m feeling relaxed I’m visualising.  

 

I feel rested and ready to give myself positive affirmations. 

 

(Use your own affirmations here’s a few if you wanted to use them)

 

Some affirmation if you want to use these: 

 

4)  I focus my energy on my values, not my anxiety. I have the strength to move beyond my anxiety.

I am in charge of my breathing

I am in charge of everything I do

I will feel happy

I will feel healthy

I have strength to move beyond stress

I’m feeling fantastic

I focus my energy on my values, not my anxiety.

I have the strength to move beyond my anxiety.

 

(Your own suggestions) 

(Bring in your own suggestions here or positive statements around any habits) 

 

Or a statement like this: 

My future is bright and positive, I’m confident, I appreciate who I am. Hold onto this secure feeling of confidence, self-esteem as you return to my day. 

I see myself getting up in the morning... a smile on my face... feeling good about the day ahead ... saying that I love you. And before I go to check myself in the mirror... that confident person smiles back, as I’m ready to start my healthy lifestyle. I’m going to stay in hypnosis for a couple of minutes repeating my affirmations.

 

5) I’m counting from 1 up to 5 using positive messages and will be alert with a clear mind. 

1 – feeling wonderful/confident

2 – relaxed and in control

3 – I am ready for any challenge

4 – feeling great in every way

 

And 5 – eyes open and stretch
